Green Bay Packers, Aaron Rodgers Makes History as the Fastest NFL QB to Reach 400 Career TD Passes

NFL Week 13 was full of streaks and milestones. We witnessed the Packers thrashing the Eagles with a score of 30-16.

The Packers were the mighty team after Aaron James dashed 77 yards for a touchdown through Marquez Valdes’s help. Jones had recorded 53 yards on 14 carries before that score, and by the end of the final whistle, he finished with 130 yards on 15 carries.

Defensive skills for the Packers were displayed by Safety Darnell Savage Jr., who intercepted Eagles QB Jalen Hurts. It was a fun game worth watching with touchdowns and interceptions like never before.

Now, the Packers are one game behind the Saints in the race for the NFC’s top seed. That said, Sunday’s games weren’t more concentrated on the wins but individual players’ streaks and milestones.

Aaron Rodgers hits 400 Touchdowns.

On Sunday, Rodgers became the fastest player in the NFL history to reach 400 career TD passes, which he recorded after a 9-yard touchdown to Devante Adams, who received the pass and went on to beat Eagle’s cornerback Darius Slay’s tackle before touching down for the final 5 yards.

Rodgers hit 400 milestones with his third touchdown pass on the game and progressively finished with 25-of-34 for 295 yards and 3 TDs to call it a day with a 129.6 rating.

Sunday’s game was his 193rd career game, and he reached 400 TDs, surpassing New Orleans QB Drew Brees, who recorded his 400th TD in his 205th career game.

One astonishing thing is that Rodgers, who is now the 7th player in the NFL history to reach the mark, has the fewest interceptions with only 88 as compared to other 400-touchdown club members; Brees (240), Tom Brady (190), Peyton Manning (251), Brett Favre (336), Dan Marino (252), and Philip Rivers (207).

Devante Adams Surpasses 1,000 yards.

Adams has been able to land on 997 yards in a season twice, but in 2020, he surpassed 1,000 yards during Sunday’s game against the Eagles.

This was the second time in his NFL career to surpass such a mark. The NFL 2020 season has seen Adams miss two games following injuries, and now he has recorded 84 catches for 1,029 yards with 13 touchdowns.

Another record for Adams includes a seventh straight game with a touchdown. It’s a record now he holds with Don Hutson.

Adams is the fourth NFL player to have recorded 12 touchdowns with 1,000 yards in the first ten games. The other players are Hall of Famers Randy Moss (2007), Terrell Owens (2007), Marvin Harrison (1999), and Jerry Rice (1986, 1989).

Robert Tonyan recorded a three-game TD streak.

Tonyan also set a new milestone when he caught a 25-yard touchdown from Rodgers in the 2nd quarter, and it was his third straight game with a TD. Overall, he has recorded about eight touchdowns catches.

At Week 14, we can expect more streak and milestones to be achieved from the Green Bay Packers and other promising teams in the about to conclude NFL 2020 regular season.
