A lot has changed in the NFL ever since the outbreak of the coronavirus in mid-march with the league embracing innovations and establishing contingency plans to have the 2020 season on going without halting.
Despite the NFL countless contingency plans to curb the spread of the COVID-19 in the league, the virus has already crawled in with multiple teams recording positive tests for the coronavirus.
The NFL has been postponing matches following a rapid positive test for the COVID-19 in various teams and their organization in response to safeguard the league from cancelling the entire 2020 season. Already the NFL has made a huge reshuffling on their schedule to facilitate the games that were postponed.
On Wednesday the Dolphins made a huge announcement that came as a surprise to many when Coach Brian Flores officially named Rookie Tua Tagovailoa as their starting quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick.
Tua Tagovailoa while playing for Alabama he had the most efficient passes in college football history and amazingly he won the national championship game for the Crimson Tide after coming off the bench while as a freshman.
Once again Tagovailoa proved his worthy during their Sunday game against the New York Jets when he came off the bench and completed both passes, he threw while his team was running out of the final couple minutes, enabling the Dolphin’s blowout win.
Coach Brian Flores believes that Tagovailoa is ready and the team also thinks so, in terms of health standpoint and expresses on his talent to be able to go out and run the offence well.
The transaction is expected to happen this week as the Miami has a bye before clashing with the Rams on Nov.1, which would help in the transition.
As for the veteran quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick, he is healing from heartbreak after the announcement that he isn’t the Miami Dolphins starting quarterback anymore rather Tua Tagovailoa. Fitzpatrick has been the Dolphin starting QB for over a season.
The news shocked the world of the NFL though Fitzpatrick was the most surprised and went on to share his frustrations on social media where he expressed sadness for feeling deserted by the team he loves so much following the announcement.
Flores has a soft spot for the prospect and expressed his excitement in placing him in the lineup, regardless of the Dolphins standings at the moment backing up Tagovailoa saying that he is ready and it makes sense to have him as their starting quarterback.
We hope that Miami Dolphin’s coach Brain Flores reap of faith on quarterback Tua Tagovailoa will not disappoint after taking that position from the veteran quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick who is more experienced.
Remember to wear a mask, keep a distance and sanitize our hands whenever you go out either shopping or workplace. Let’s remain vigilant towards the COVID-19 as we go by the pandemic by safeguarding each other.
Be sure not to miss out on Week 7 of NFL.
